In the more than five decades since our founding, we have provided business process outsourcing services to clients in a range of fields.
The Advance of Technology and Challenges for Us to Resolve
In the information service industry, there is rapid evolution in providing services utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and developing various services utilizing vast amounts of stockpiled data (big data). The use of this big data creates new value, and the strategic use of IT technology as a means to this end is emerging as a major factor in the decision-making process for both individuals and companies.
Beyond this, there are many issues that we can help to address in our mainstay educational and financial services, such as full-fledged education reform and development of fintech. In the medical industry, a field we entered in 2016, there is also advancement in the strategic use of IT technology, including ever-increasing demand for the digitization of medical information.
Amid this environment, we at the ODK Solutions Group believe that our future growth strategy will hinge on how we accumulate and utilize data while continuing to provide services that rapidly adapt to changes in the external environment and other factors.
Toward Greater Growth
As aforementioned, the use of big data has become a key focus for some time now, and the creation of new value through data businesses is essential for the further growth of the Group. To achieve this, our aim is to enhance the services we offer in each business area, as well as the volume and type of data obtained through these services.
The UCARO® examination portal site has grown with such speed that, in just four years since its launch, nearly one in two of all students taking examinations in Japan utilize this service. We believe that it will be the core of our future data business development with a view to expanding beyond the education field.
We will continue to expand UCARO®-related services and build UCARO®-based services that span businesses, with a view to utilizing alliances and M&A. Here, as a company "connecting business with smart solutions" and "bringing together the story of your life," we will create unprecedented new value in data while maintaining closeness with our services' users.
